Face It Mom Founder
Janice Beverly

Janice Beverly, the Founder and CEO of Face It Mom, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering mothers healing from domestic violence. As a North Carolina Certified Family Partner, she brings a wealth of personal experience and professional expertise to our mission.

In 2006, after surviving domestic violence with my children, she founded Zarephath Ministries Inc, a 501(c)(3) organization. Over a two-year period, Janice navigated the legal system to secure custody of my children and preserve our family home. This transformative journey led her and her children to North Carolina, where they embarked on a new life defined by peace.

Face It Mom, established in 2018 with her daughter, embodies a broader vision to positively impact our community.

Face It Mom's focus is on empowering mothers to leave abusive relationships, ensuring the preservation of familial bonds. We provide support for mothers recovering from abusive relationships, helping them relearn positive parenting skills. Understanding the interconnected challenges of learned behavior, fear, and control, we empower mothers to break free from abusive cycles.

Our organization guides mothers through the complexities of leaving abusive relationships, facilitating their recovery, and addressing the impact on children. We specialize in preventing child removal due to domestic violence, guiding mothers toward independence, and assisting in reunifications. Recognizing the difficulties faced during this transition, we offer comprehensive support, from filing protective orders to connecting mothers with essential community services.

At Face It Mom, our commitment is to empower mothers to embrace new lives of independence and peace. We acknowledge the nuanced dynamics of domestic violence and strive to ensure that every mother receives the support needed to rebuild her life. Through legal assistance, resource provision, and guidance in pursuing new opportunities, Face It Mom stands as a beacon of empowerment for those affected by domestic violence.
